Meeting 27/03/26

Last term fundraising

• Disco - £40.40

• Mother's day flowers - £363.49. Left over filament will be used for fathers day. 

Tablet

• School staff that work in the kitchen during the fairs proposed we but a tablet to connect to sum up to avoid logistical issues with using someone's phone. 

• It could also make running events like KK's/icecreams easier.

• Was discussed about getting one for around £100. Lucia to look into it.

• Felicity suggested a digi-lock box would also be a good idea. She will ask the Premise manager about fixing this in the PTA cupboard.

Easter Egg draw

• We had approx 200 eggs this year due to a large donation of 100 eggs from Tesco. Whilst more eggs seemed like a great idea, it made the drawer quite long and there were more eggs than kids entered in the drawer.

• Thoughts for next year how to improve this as all kids are entitled to a free ticket.

Krispy Kreme Donuts

• Laura and Emma have had a meeting

• Will do pre-orders ofr 1/2 and a dozen.

• Decision of how many to order will depend on pre-orders.

• KK date is 30th April.

• Suggested to discuss with Mr David to open gates at 3:15 to allow for pre-order pickup.

Disco

• The disco is the 4th June.

• DJ booked

• Need to check with Head teacher if this can again be a non-uniform day as per previous disco.

• Will require volunteers.

Summer Fair

• 11th July

• Laura to submit application for fire brigade to attend.

• Mr David discussed with Lucia the possiblity of having a Friday afternon fair. PTA members whilst liked the idea, were concerned about how we set-up whilst a school is running (usually set up is done Friday after school finishes and prior to the fair starting), how could we use the KS2 playground, when there is after school club, clean up could make it a late night, concerns anout volunteers if starting stragjt sfter school, otentially raise less money as may not do food.

• Discussed toy, book donation for prize hut and teddy tombola.

• Ensure water game is advertised as limited go's with wrist band.

• Laura discussed having craft packs for purchase of dfferent costs. Lucia asked for us to see what was in the PTA cupboard as there are craft items in there. 

• Chior - need to discuss with Miss Dicey

• Suggestions:

baby photos of teacher competetion. 

Envelopes, decorated by kids, add 3 small toys/items ie macca toys, fidgets, pencils - have them as a stall and kids pay per envelope. Popular at another school. 

Paper plate sent home with child - fill plate with cakes and resell.

AOB

• Meet and Greet - Laura would like to run a meet the new parents morning once reception places have been finalised. ? 20th May. Lucia to ask head teacher.

Coffee/Tea and biscuits or cake. Propsoed a gold coin donation to cover costs.

Have uniform available.

• Stay and Play for parents - Laura is discussing this with Mr David.

• World book day - ask for donations of old costumes and PTA to resell.
