Autumn Term 2024

 It feels like only yesterday our children were stepping into their new classrooms, full of excitement for the new school year. Now, in the blink of an eye, we’re already nearing Christmas! 

The KS1 library had a lovely upgrade over the summer which was part funded by the PTA and is now looking like a cosy place to choose a book and spend some time reading.

We have a new banner on the front entrance to the school which serves as our event notice board. This was sourced for free from a company that donates banners to charities.

Year 1 and Year 2 participated in Scootability which is a scooter training program. The feed back from teachers and children was this was enjoyable.

We had a few weeks of lovely weather on the return to school and held a few ice-cream sales which will return in the warmer months next year.  We also held our much loved Krispy Kreme which again sold out.

The Disco this term became a glow of fun with kids enjoying the added extra of a glow bracelet. We hope to have a different theme for the next disco to keep it fun and exciting for the kids.

Our annual Christmas fair was a tremendous success, and we're grateful to everyone who came out to enjoy it, despite the less-than-ideal weather. A big thank you to all the staff who helped run the fair on the day, helping at stalls, running the kitchen and the all important prize hut. A special mention to Mrs Wardlaw for her wonderful ideas and her help in organising, Mr Barber who is always on hand early on the morning of the fair and Mrs Binks who stays after school and arrives early to help set up the fair.

The PTA committee would like to thank all the parents and grandparents who have helped out over the past term, Without your support we could not run the events we do.
