Volunteers - or those who may be interested in volunteering - are invited to join our WhatsApp group. This is only for discussion of volunteering (for general chat, join our Facebook group instead).
To join, please read the group rules and data statement, then request an invitation using the form below. You will be sent an invitation, which you can then accept if you choose.
By joining the what's app group 'Friends of Culvers Volunteers' you are agreeing to the Group Rules.

Membership is open to anybody interested in volunteering or learning about volunteering with Friends of Culvers House, provided that they are at least 18 years old or have a child at Culvers House Primary School.
You must not use information you see in the group e.g. phone numbers, to contact people outside of the group without first asking their permission within the group. This applies equally to all group members.
You must not post:
Advertising
Photos of other people's children
Anything that is not in keeping with the school's values.
Excessively large media posts.
If the group remains small, some general chat about Friends of Culvers House will be allowed, but, if it gets larger, you may be asked to keep discussion related to volunteering only. Discussion of the school in general without reference to association activities is not permitted at any time.
All posts must be kind and courteous.
Admin may delete posts that are deemed inappropriate.
By joining this group and remaining a member you confirm that you are happy with our Data Statement and how your personal details may be seen or used.

Read Data Statement
When you complete the form to request to join our WhatsApp group, we will use the mobile phone number you provide to invite you to the group. You can accept or decline and you will be able to remove yourself from the group at any time, using the options available to you through WhatsApp. Once you have been invited to the group, any identifying personal information such as your name and your mobile phone number will be deleted from our records, but your number and your display name on WhatsApp may be visible to the group members, depending on your own WhatsApp settings.
Information about your relationship to Friends of Culvers House will be retained indefinitely and may be used for anonymous statistical analysis. For example, we may record group numbers over time or check to see whether all year groups in the school are represented. You will not be personally identifiable in the information we retain. If you would like to discuss removing all of your information from our form sign-up records, please email pta@culverspta.co.uk. You will need details of the time and date you completed this form. To remove all of your information from the WhatsApp group, you can delete your posts in the group and then leave the group.
Your information may be seen by the Friends of Culvers House committee and volunteers helping the committee with WhatsApp group admin. Information will be stored securely. Additionally, anonymous statistics about the group may be presented at meetings and included in meeting minutes.
We do not generally save information you post in the group outside of WhatsApp. However, there may be times when some information is stored elsewhere e.g. if we ask for volunteers for a particular activity, those who volunteer will have their name added to a list. If you do not consent to this, please either do not volunteer or you may remove yourself from the group at any time.
Additionally, your use of WhatsApp is subject to policies, T&Cs and data statements of WhatsApp.
