Friends of Culvers House Meeting 28/06/24

Summer Fair

Actions from last meeting

·        Prize hut – Mrs Wardlaw has ordered and received the prizes. PTA has received the invoice to pay for these.

·        Cutlery/plates – ordered and received.

·        Wickes – Felicity contacted Wickes regarding their community programmes to see if they could donate some gazebo’s. Unfortunately, this is does not meet their criteria and the email has been passed to the school to see if they can utilise the grant.

·        Laura – Seeds/pens. Unfortunately, Laura could not make the meeting. Angela has said she has everything organised.

Agenda

·        Pre-sale of wristbands is today for £8.

·        Donations – Angela is chasing the last few. To be finalised on Monday.

·        Volunteer roster is done. This will be shared next meeting in case there are any last-minute changes.

·        Plans – There are 2 plans for the fair, one good weather and one bad weather. These have been submitted to Mr Barber along with the risk assessment.

·        Food to be ordered thru Iceland to be delivered next Friday morning. Any missing items can then be bought Friday afternoon.

·        Splash zone – Teachers have asked whether they could use ballons as opposed to sponges as it more fun. Lucia agreed with Mrs Whitfield that £30 could be spent and after that sponges would need to be used.

·        Thankyou postcards – Angela to send thru proof for it to be checked.

·        Raffle – This is quite slow even though we have a large amount of prizes (around 40) this time thanks to Angela’s hard work. Shelli suggested for the PTA to consider a prize to the child who sells the most.

·        Krispy Kreme – pre-sale is also slow.

·        Wristbands – the original wristbands that were bought we could not stamp on them. Received full refund. Ordered new wristbands with ‘Friends of Culvers House’ printed on them.

·        Inflatables – Lucia to contact the company for confirmation. The company man their inflatables so no need for volunteers. Mr Barber wanted to ensure there are mats at the front of them as the ground is quite hard at the moment as there has been no rain.

·        Food – Hazel to run kitchen with another staff member. Nuggets/Quorn nuggets and chips.
