ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Minutes

1. Welcome

Present: Lucia, Felicity, Emma, Laura, Stacey, Shelli, Shabana, Beth, Francesca, Charity

2. Chair’s Report

A big thanks to everyone involved over the past year with another successful year.

3. Treasurer’s Report

The Treasurer’s Report was given.

New events held were the Magician and school tea towels that were both successful events. 

Parent donations£650. One donation was £500.

Lucia raised over £1000 with her Kilimanjaro walk. 

The Summer and Christmas Fairs were again our biggest events for raising funds.

Our Finances are good with £14,199 (last year £15930.35) held in accounts at the start of the school year.

Members asked for breakdowns of how the school spend the funds donated toward school trips. Beth will follow this up.

The deposit for Zactiv (Steel from Gladiators) school visit was paid from last years funds and the remainder from this years funds.

Members were also encouraged to present ideas that can be considered.

4. Election of committee members

Nominations were given for the following roles and voted unanimously:

5. Upcoming/Proposed Events

Disco - proposed date 23rd Oct. Suggestion of a theme with temporary tattoos.

Christmas Fair - proposed dates 29/11 or 6/12. Lucia to enquire with Hackbridge to avoid clashing dates. 

Christmas Cards - Laura asked if this was possible this year.

Fab brick keyrings - these are personalised keyrings, a Lego brick with child's name. For each one sold, the PTA keeps £1.

Lucia to meet with Mr David to discuss the above proposals and ask if he has any funding proposals for the PTA to consider.
